For 2023, we have added several new classes, being a multitude of ridden, driven and led events for various breeds, plus led in classes for Friesians and Irish Draught horses as well.
We have also extended some classes that were formerly 'heavy only' to include light horses and ponies.
There is a new led Obstacle Course, and we will have Highland Ponies and Mules as invitation 'breeds' this year - to add some variety to the scenery!
The ploughing ground has been relocated nearer to where the bullocks were..
Everyone is keen to get back into showing again after last year's nationwide go-slow and Covid lockdowns!
Horse entry numbers are about 120, with record numbers of first-time exhibitors, and enthusiasm has been tremendous- looks like it'll be a terrific weekend!
